Anyone ever tried this lemon concentrate? Just thought it might be a cheap alternative @ 99 cents if it works and does'nt promote any root funk.

Citric acid... I have some mineral matrix which is micros chelated with citric. Good stuff. I don't know about lemon juice per se though, as it contains more than citric acid obviously.
Cheapest pH down should be HCl, or muratic acid for pools... one gallon ~$3.00 at walmart. Probably shouldn't be used with tap water though... too much chlorine that way.

sulphuric acid is not much more expensive and much safer for the plants, than HCl, muratic acid.
sold as battery electrolyte at the auto parts store. Dillute it for ease of use.
 Pure citric acid  (http://www.canningpantry.com/citric-acid.html)is also sold at the grocery in the canning section, usually in dry powder form.
